If memory serves me right the fish at the end was non metallic and doitsu. It did however have a silky sheen often seen in Hikarigoi. It would then be a Benikoki. Benikoki is the crossing between Doitsu Goshiki and Beni Kumonryu.

This 2011 year you will be seeing some new koi being produced in Japan. We have seen the same varieties for some time and now I believe we are in a transition stage in this hobby. With koi farms passing the ropes to the younger generation (tradition is father to son) it is an exciting time to see what they envision the future to be in the hobby. After all, koi are, in many respects man made by crossings and every breeder has a goal =)

Wow, I have never seen Koi like that. Absolutely stunning specimens they have, just incredible. Pure art in breeding.
