I have sort of an asian themed tank. I mixed oriental with indian theme, so asian theme. Don't know if you are interested in seeing it.

Some ppl may be offended that I said oriental, but I'm allowed...I am half japanese lol :)

maybe tomorrow ill get some pics of my gf with her hand in the tank.. shes half korean so............ maybe not....

MommyJulia, stop teasing us and show us a pic. Let's see your setup. I don't mind you calling us oriental as long as you don't say whoriental.

Please do not derail. As much as I want to see your hot GF I would also like to keep this thread on topic and help other members out there that are looking for ideas for an asian theme.

well, i like to think my tank has a japanese/chinese look to it. i think the decorations with the little trees remind me of the japanese mountains, i think!! lol. BTW, i think ive seen those buddha statues at Petco

JC, your setup is nice but could use improvement. Need more plants and smaller brown gravels. The smaller gravel will work better to the mountain scale. Since it's a japanese mountain I think a dark blue background is more suitable.

More pics to update the thread. Here is one my friend sent me.

thanks man, but i personally would never add gravel or full substrate to anything over a 55g. i prefer better/cleaner water quality over looks and IMO tanks with substrate bottoms are too hard to keep clean.

and i wasnt really going for something authentic, just my version of a semi-bare tank. i dont really like to add plants as i plan and keeping some big, active fish that need all the room they can get. a blue background would be a nice option too, but i like black in everything and i think it brings out the colors of the fish more.

Let us know what you decide to do!!! :)

OK here is mine. Hope it's not a disappointment...like I said I mixed it. And sadly I have no real plants in there. I used to have snails in this tank and they chewed up ALL the beautiful plants I had.
