love those colors! any tips on keeping them that bright and colorful? is it the food?
a lfs told me he keeps his cichlids colorful by feeding them beefheart (i don't know if he mixed it with some other vitamins).

The orange/yellow color depends on the datnoids.
Keeping them stable is really unknown. Just try to provide the best possible environment.
what is the best environment for them? some said barebottom with black on background, i saw some with sand, and some with gravel... i have 11 dats on a barebottom with a poster of plants at the back. some of my dats have great color some are just hidding and hidding. when the lights are off their colors just goes bright.
