I love the red facial highlighting. It's interesting that some of them have full dorsal patterns while others do not. Nice red highlights in the dorsals as well.

They've all got it, but it's much more prominent in the larger, less-timid and more showy males. Doesn't show up too well in the photos because the patterns are very angle dependant.

Will be keen to pickup this DSLR body this week and see if I can get some nice shots of the dominant male, especially if I can get some quality shots of him showing/courting with all fins fully extended and a dark throat.

Btw, which Fuji P&S is it? That's the second person I've seen take killer pics with one. I figure it would be less expensive then jumping into the pool with a dslr that I don't know how to use. *l*

Fuji S6500FD, it's basically a top end P&S (although quite old now).
