no they are together and doing fine, the thing is i have black sand in the tank, and the gold is still gold and before i had black sand i had light brown gravel and the other jar was still black:confused:
Oh, I see. Hope they stay peaceful. :) Diet also affects the Jardini's coloration. Sometimes a Jardini's coloration vary like some are darker than others, some are lighter. My guess is the darker one is bigger and the lighter one is smaller. Also what's the background color?

ah actually your right the dark is a little bigger and they both eat the same market shrimp, blood worms and aro sticks, i have no background, but my wall is white

Ah, that can explain the light color on the smaller as well. If you had black background, both Jardini would be darker and have pink/red spots. :)

ok i was actually going to put a black curtain behind the tank, ill see wat happens and fill everyone in

just because they have different colors doessnt make them a different species. :D

I can have a red flame double tail betta fish and an ocean blue halfmoon dragon betta fish. theyre still betta fish regardless of the colors and fancy names.

Same rules apply for Jardini. it can be darker, it can be lighter. still same fish.

A jar is a jar, regardless of what some sellers are trying to sell as a special jar. You can pretty much make a jar appear to be gold, reddish and etc by altering the background, lights, substrate, etc. Its possible jars labeled as gold, xback, titanium, red, etc are likely marketing gimmicks meant to overprice a common jar. It's the old buyers beware....

hmm i see but there is no way to get asians in hawaii so i already now the difference about those. i pretty much figured that there was only one type of jar and i never bought them from lfs. i trade a dat and front for my darker one cause it had gill curl and i wanted to fix it. and my so called gold was 20 bucks at 3ins and now its like 7in so i really never got ripped of or anything, if i did i would quit the hobby hahaha
