the last jar i had i grew till 18 inches bought him at 4 put in a oscar same size oscar beet him up for a while then the jar took his life tried it with about 4 more oscars and the oscars all tried to get tuff and ended up dead decks don't try it one is gonna die.

I'm not saying that it will work but I also think that at 18" if it wasn't already used to tank mates it would have been already way past the chance to ever introduce any. IMO There definitely have been some success story's with Jars in coms and in the cases that I've seen it seems that they have all been started at a smaller size say between 4" and 6".
