My jar started at 7 inch. In with 6 tigers fish which are , 8,9,10, 12,12, 13 inch, a 10 inch FRT and a 9 inch frontosa. Jar is now 9 inch and has just begun claiming the middle and top territory of the tank. Aggression is definately more apparant ckmpared to when it was 7 inch....but currently i am more worried The bigger ITs will do more damage to the jar than the other way round.....

Still, I have a sneaking suspicion the jar will turn into monster in the next 6 months.

The IT's can do some serious damage, are very fast, and will defend their section of the bottom tank zone against any fish. I have found with other territorial fish in the tank, IT's claim a lower part of the tank as territory. Normally arowana tend to claim middle and top of their tank, but every now and then you get a very territoral arowana who wants the whole tank, and when it comes face to face with a IT datnoid, the datnoid will come out on top. If you have a very territorial arowana, then most likely it will get itself into a scuffle or two.

i was just gonna say that. everyone tends to back the jar as most aggressive. and me in my newbie days listened. and lost 2 jars to smaller dats, on separate occasions. those dats can be little pitbulls when the thought passes through there heads

this is good to here i gonna get a 3.5 inch indo dat i hoping it works out so i can get more and then this will be the stock for my 210 i gonna get

Jardini could be aggressive to that datnoid and the datnoid might fight back and some damage could be done from both fish. My datnoid know better not to mess with Aros even if they attack the datnoid since my Aros always took down the datnoid. :grinno:
