Couldnt have said it better myself.
except for "trail & error"
I would have said "trial and error":j/k:

You'll never know untill you try it. I've had several fish that "would never work together" in the same tank and be just fine.

all the fish i currently have, share it with red bellied piranhas
:) :) :)

only lost a smaller jardini before, but havent lost anything else yet.
i think my other jardini was targeted because he was already injured by the other jardini and was an easy meal for my Ps.

1x jar 8in
1x pike 8in
1x loeport pleco 6in
1x wiptail cat 8in
1x geo.... 4in forget the name lol

so i think it should be fine, and i think the asian arow is the most aressive

yeah, i think i'll just try and see what happends. im gonna put the jardini in to my 75 gal with my 2 columbians 8", 3 clown loachs 3" 1 rainbow shark 5"(this is the one im scared of.. cuz he'll chase after everything) a big pleco and five 2" commets. i dont care if he kills those. i'll keep an eye out. and see. if there is any fighting, then i'll put it back to the 50 gal for now.

thanks everyone!

hey ROCK45!

how big are is your jardini and how big is the clown knife fish? maybe i can put mine together too!

I just got a jardini. He's mebbe 2-3 inches. I tried to put him with my leicharti, but the lei. wouldn't leave him alone. My jar. has a really cool blue around all his fins. Think that will fade?
I have found that the best way to keep fish together is to start them all young, around the same size and age. They say you can't keep knives together, but I have three. I have also kept gars and arrows, but when I tried to add a gar to my tank after the arrow had been in it for a long time, well, lets just say it wasn't pretty.
Hopefully that will work for these two, they are too damn expensive to screw around with!!!
