Jardini Arowana Mating.

That's one serious wow... and a first for me. Do you keep them together of brought them together for mating? I see their fins are somewhat tattered. I wonder if this has to do with the mating behavior.

I thought jardini can rarely bring themselves to tolerate any tank mates, let alone another arowana, far, far less so another jardini.

Don't they come together in the wild only for mating?
+1, idk about there wild behaviors though, I haven the read of anything like that

I have a trio also. The two were donated to me a while back and they seem happy

I caught your earlier thread and really like your tank. Its quite a accomplishment to pull a spawn from a jar in a aquarium. So, that is awesome.

How big are they? At nine years I'd imagine they are at max. Was just surprise at the size in the video. Keep us posted!

these two are mating and I have another smaller one. all together in a 500 gallon 8 foot long tank.

They are about two feet long each and as thick as wild salmon

You've blown me away and out of the water. Your experience may be a one in a lifetime exception (3 is not enough to dilute aggression) but it'd be nice if you told us how long they have been together and how they have been faring together over time.
