Only thing that surrvived my old jard was a birchir and other bottom dwellers. Other aggy fish will not be tolerated.

Jardini Arowana with tankmates.

Pretty much same in my tank lots of cats and birchir manged to keep jag cichlid with mine but gone through loads of cichlids over the years seems to like the jag (most of time) , have recently put a pacu in with them jars ok with him but jag not keep typical lol
i don't know if you guys think the same,but i think the jar will not be the main problem.sure they are some nasty aro.but at least they are predictable.not like the lungfish,which are very unpredictable and they will not to hestitate to bite you and larger fish.i recommend gar or armored catfish for tankmate
From my experience Jardini can stay with any fish, but they also hate all fish. It just depends on the jardini. For instance I have had 2 jardinis at separate times in the same tank. 1 hated my flag tail. The other hated my bowfin. After getting rid of bowfin and flagtail both jardinis had no problems with the reaming tank mates which were clown loaches and bichirs. It all depends on the fish. Just have to test them all out.
