It should be noted to make it clear, Scleropages jardini and Scleropages leichardti are two different species. The easiest way to distinguish between them is the scales marks. Leichardti have the spots towards the inside of the scale while jardini's have the spots close to the edge of the scale almost forming a line at times. Jardini's also have the typical gill plate markings.
