At a lfs there is a jardini arowana for $100 (is that a good price?):headbang2 i have a 30gal tank and wanted to know how long i could keep it in that tank if at all? thanks

its a very decent price. but a 30 gal wont be good enuf....even for a short period of time. small spaces make arowanas panic and JUMP!!! honestly...io wouldnt risk it until u buy a bigger tank. 6by2by2 MINIMUM for jardini...

thats overpriced in america. they are around 40-60 dollars everywhere here

hed be ok in there for 3 or 4 months

I agree with Wackamole. Either get him and upgrade in that 3-4 month or wait till you can get a decent size tank. Plus that jard for 100 is overprice or too large for you tank. Most 4-6 are around 40-60.

I am surprised at all the advice given yet no one has asked how big the jardini is.:screwy:

How big is the jardini?

it was about 3-5 inches

That seems VERY steep to me. I live in Massachusetts and I see them for around $60 on average, and if it's a place you frequent often...you could probably get it for less.

You could keep him in a 30 for a little while, but he will outgrow it fairly quickly...he'll be up to a foot before you even realize it.

Check out these threads as well, especially if this will be your first Jardini.
