I have try that and the jar is back to his old self. So i am putting back the reddish light .. maybe my jar is a bit retarded ..

my light is really dim orange red, durring the day you can't see it. Its similar to dawn/dusk. My silver didn't like the bright white light so I painted it and now I can watch him hunt at night near the bottom for the convicts!! He is much fatter now, but yes I did only have him for 3 days before changing the light. I kept it off before because it scarred the crap out of him. And I prefer the look of the tank now much better.
