I read that on a breeders website. They produce thousands of leichardti yearly. Not jars, but I'm sure they know what they're talking about.

o yeah... for breeding its a totally different story. you would almost have to have a huge tank/pond to breed any kind of aros.

but comm with jar isnt too difficult, just time consuming and draw of the luck. i got lucky on my 1st attempt.

i made it. with goldfish!! first came to my house at 7 cm (2 months ago) and now he's grown to 10 cm.. the key is always keep his stomach full.

i'd just ordered another jar or green pino and a palmas to fill my new tank alongside with my jar, i'll update the info for MFK..

My jar died at 12" and was like a baby. He was swiming with angle fishes like 4" and small plecos. Only think he killed was feeders like platy and tetra. All other fishes was happy as ever.. To bad he died when i moved him to a bigger tank, prob got scared by the pacus or so. So ill say yeah u can keep them with other fishes but its all up to ur fish. Some of them are killers just like some humans.. And my first jar was also fine with other smaller fishes.

Jardinis are extremely aggressive towards eachother over holding a territory, you wouldnt really be able to keep more than one in a 6 or 8 footer, you could try bottom dwellers but nothing that lives near the surface, trust me youl learn that thats the Jardinis zone and no one elses pretty quick.
