i just transfered my 4" jardini to a 55g tank(jardini is aloned). i had it in a 75g that consist of tank mates of 7 sml(size range from 1"-3") indo dats, 2 bichirs, 20 sml flowerhorn. I transfered the jardini to the 55g tank because the flowerhorns was attacking the jardini.

Now heres my problem, ever since i transfered the Jardini in the 55g tank, it doesnt want to eat anymore. i dont know whats wrong. It was eating fine when i had it in the 75g tank. I tried feeding it different kinds of food, except live feeders, but doesnt help. Help me out here guys.

It's pretty common for aro to stop eating for awhile when it been moved to new enviroment. But some greedy fish will start eating within afew hours.

Just be patience and it'll start eating again once it settled down.:)

I currrently have the same problem, but to make matters worse he jumped out in the move.. He went of food for nearly 2 weeks. He has just started eating again, but with very little enthusiasm (he normaly demolishes anything). My only advice is as stated by Koji, and remember that they can go weeks without food in the wild (they gourge themselves before the cold snap [in Australia]). I wish you all the best as I know first hand how it feels when they are looking a little sick. Please let us know how he finishes up, as I hope the agresion comes back

getting use to its new tank

This is my first post, first time i saw this topic, i just register and just wanna help you out

first things first, check the water temp. use your heater to make it warmer

secondly, try to rub your aro's body, stressness of new tanks usually make her don't wanna eat

if this fail

try to put some small goldfish with her, this will arise aro's appetite since the goldfish will try to evade and make the sense of predator of aro's come

the last one...this is it, aro 10 - 15 cm aro's usually can stands up to 3 days by not eating anything..make it fasting
for 1 or 2...after that try to feed her with another menu

like german worms...should be working fine with these

gud luck bro :headbang2

what i did when mine would not eat ,, i opened my doors and let a few flies into my house during the day , caught them with a glass against a window , gave the glass a little shake to stun the flies a bit , then dropped them onto the water surface ,, the flys start to buzz and kick a bit and the arrow was like a cat after a mouse , apetite restored ,
best bit is its free food ,, plenty of house flies in uk over the summer months , not sure on your location though ,
