i believe that keeping feeding mice to snakes is right as it is natrual and painless. firstly mice are nto the natrual food of fish. i wasnt talking bout shrews or any rodent that lives near water. im talking mice. dead or not mice poop alot and pee alot. plus there are oils in their fur. i have given mice baths and the water was slightly cloudy around the mouse as i put it in. and pooped a bit. another thing is that when p's are fed they are scared and take little bites out of them and the tank clouds up with blood. i am angry because mice were not intended to be fed to fish.

aside from the whole nature, suffering, blah blah blah

mice are packed with nurtients, very good for large arowana.

but that jar needs to gain some size before he can swallow it whole, looks like a struggle to get down.

and mice do/can drink from the river and are highly adapted for swimming if nessesary.

yeh mice are highly adapted at swimming and buy the time an arownana got there it would of swum to a bank or safe area. also mice are not native to the amazon. mice do not drink from rivers they drink from puddles but actually get most moisture out of food they eat. they can but dont. another point mice can not fall from tree. they are better climbers than monkeys.ive had mice cib completly horizontal. and this way up / . the part that angers me is the main reason people feed mice to fish is pure enjoyment. they use the "its nature" bs. thats what angers me.

the meanness of people and the "snuff" argument was not defended by anyone in here, I believe. We all hate it.

and few of us feed mice ( i've fed thawed pinkies 2 or 3 times in my life )...:chillpill:

if the aro is small it may have probems digesting the bone of the mouse

i have never done it so dont know to much about feeding mice

You have a point Richard. If a little spine off a prawn can damage and even kill a aro god knows what a bone can do.

I know some of the japanese hobbyist I know are breeding their own mice to feed their big aros. So far so good. But I still can't accept the idea.:irked:

But those huge red and xb do look bulky in their tanks though.:WHOA:

we dont know that for sure, we jsut take the precaution and remove it to be on the safe side, if an arowana can eat and digest fish bones (also made of calcium), and hard dense inverabrate exoskeletons. logically i dont see why bones of small mammals would be an issue.

Delagdo, don't you sleep???? I have banned you, slept, woken up, now I' m off to the airport, and still you're ranting along...WTF?
