feeding mice to fish is stupid and irresponsible. first they fowl up water and they are ment to be swallowed whole. ppl like like you who feed them to fish that cant swallow them claim it to be natrual. well it isnt as mice do not like water and do not live right next to tivers. the get water from food and puddles.

I'm sorry that's a bit harsh man... there are in fact plenty of semi aquatic rodents such as musk rats and shrew... mice are just cheaper and more readily available. Especially in thickly vegitated waters that aros preffer... and secondly fish attempt swollowing things that some ppl can't even fathom. I saw a vid once of a pike eating a large walley that no one would have guessed it would have even attempted... third I have a bal python myself and I would never leave an uneaten rodent in his tank for more then one night. If he didn't have any other tanks or cages to keep it, I see no problem in feeding to a fish that deems capable. And finnally, what do you care if he needs to do a couple extra water changes here and there, as long as he keeps his fish healthy. Your not the one doing the extra work... some people love monster fish because they are monster eaters... not just because they're large!

I love monster size fish but I'm not a big fan about their big eating habit.:D

I personally like the feeding habits of the monster fish, I thought the shots were pretty cool.
But I can see this can be a very contraversial thread for sure. The way I see it is they do it in nature so why not?

I think the mouse was dead...

Fist of all the mouse was dead even before it touched the water. The jar ate it in one pice so there wasnt any guts out, if i wanted to see that i would have thrown it in the Ps tank. Plus a variety in its diet is good for him.

wicked nice pic's.... i'm on the side of thinking that if it would happen in nature then u cant really disagree to much... as long as water conditions are maintained and it is only ever the occasional rodent, the fish is large enough to digest it safely then where lies the harm? if a fish takes it in a tank then would it not also take it given the same opportunity in the wild???
although i wouldn't personally feed fish mice.

Because nature isn't a glass box and people aren't chucking them in with 0% chance to survive.
