You fed your jar a cricket, that was most lilkely the problem. It's not that the cricket was foul or diseased, but there have been many instances where someone would feed crickets once and their aros will go on hunger streaks and only continue eating crickets even if they were once on other foods. Try not to feed crickets unless you have to. They don't make much nutrition even if you do happen to gutload them beforehand.

I sure hope that's it. She still hasn't eaten anything. grrr.

Still hasn't eaten a bite. hmmmm. I took a sample of my water to a LFS to see if maybe I was missing something and they said my water is perfect. I have tried to feed her freeze dried shrimp and pellets for days now and nothing. She seems fine but......

but...... ?? (continue)

+ bro i don't fed my aro crickets.. some of my fellow hobbyist said not to fed them crckets because once they ate it.. they start to get addicted to the crickets and they will not eat some of other variety of foods like SW, MP or etc.. ^^

since your jar has not eaten in a week, its tummy should no longer look puffy as it did before. yeah? if not, then i'd be concerned. what size is the jar at? if the condition remains the same in a few more days, i'd try to flush its system with epsom salt treatment. any pics of its tummy? good luck.

btw, have you tried other food such as raw shrimps and fish fillets? it might be/become a super picky jar...

She finally ate today!!!!! Thanks for all your help MFK's.

I suggest you do your own water parameters checking ! Your not keeping goldfish, so there is no need to skimp out on this.

It's a very small expense for a long time investment.

Test kit for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph.

good luck.

Oh I do check my own water but I started to freak out when she hadn't eaten for so long. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. It's all good now.
