so do u guys like the slivers more because it looks better? or is it just that its easily kept with other fishes and its more calm?

i had both i was lucky for a while i could keep them in the same tank but then my jardini tryed to take a chunk out of my tsn and the tsn ate it

i'd take a silver over a jardini any day. i like the agressiveness of the jardini but only if ur willing to keep him solo. silver aro's are nicer even when they get big. jardini's start lookin weird. either that or the ones ive seen in person were kept in to small of tanks. wild jars look awesome. i'd still take a silver over jar tho

That is basically it.

I know a lot of hobbyists who have been disappointed in their jardini because they are way too skittish. This can happen from juvie stage all the way through to adult stage.

Another fact is the aggression of the jardini. If you don't mind a tank with only one fish in it then the jardini might be for you.

Look is just personal preference...I have seen some AWESOME monster jardini that I would take over a silver anyday...some jardini can have some great reds and oranges through them...and they can get really quite bulky.

However if you asked me to choose between a juvie silver or juvie jardini...I would choose the silver.

Leichardti is the good stuff though :naughty:
