Here's my beast. He's mean as hell:) The only fish he tolerates are his pleco buddy and a 20" Marbled Pim. Sometimes he does scrape the catfish up pretty good.

That has to be one of the nicest if not THE nicest Jardinis I've ever seen. I currently have two Jars. One about 13". I have him in a community tank with 12" Silver Arow, Tigrinus, Juranese, Indo Dat, and True Parrot Cichlid. The larger one has always been tank mate friendly. I also have an 8" Jar. This guy is a loose cannon. He's eaten multiple plecos and catfish. I currently have him housed with a 9" Tigrinus, 2 7" Juranses, a small Dat, and a handful of larger Plecos.

Here is my beast at 16"-17"

when i had a jar at about 9 inches
he killed atleast 4 of my peacock bass at about 4 inches
i was pretty darn mad
but jars will be jars
ive never heard of the term jarhead tho?
i dont find them to be that amazing to be named after them hahaha

The last pic is sick (red eyes)

Headbanger ain't joking, killer barbels. Never seen a Jar with nice barbels.

That 11yr old Jar is a beast!!

yeah my photo editor lets me take that out because of the flash but i'm lazy and kinda just wanted pics up cuz it looked weird all empty with my text.

i keep the jar with the best barbels
anyways mine was 4" when i got him and after 7 months he is 13" or so
he eats dried shrimp, earthworms, beef heart, chicken heart, ghost shrimps.
lives with 2 RTCs and 2 TSNs at the moment in a 180g
the cats will move out once the pond is done
he eats like a pig when he is in the mood and sometimes he goes on hunger strikes
haven't been able to add anything else into his tank once he touched 8"
he got drop eye due to his glass banging and jumping when he gets skittish on one of his eyes
will move him to a bigger tank once he reaches 19"
