I've been to the store before and have heard many stories. Everything is in a 8 inch by 8 inch box (many smaller) dead fish all over the place, all on the same filter system. There are some bigger tanks filled to the brim with fish. There was a 30 gallon (maximum) with over 30 6 inch silver arowana in it. Half the discus tank was filled with dead discus. Some tanks were so small that even Congo tetras couldn't turn around (like 3 inches wide). Yes their prices are cheap but their quality is atrocious.

One more quick story. The other day I was talking with Someone at an lfs about how I had seen a 3 inch red severum for 14 bucks. They immediately said never buy fish From 6th avenue even though I hadn't Even mentioned the store yet.

I go there all the time and I can't say it's the best store around but not the worst. I've bought many fish from there n they are fine. Its like any fish you buy, quarantine and enjoy. The sizes of the holding tanks are super small. Price n variety of fish/ equipment you can't beat anywhere in the bay area. Im not defending their practice but take precautions before you buy

I'm not saying its the worst store either, in just saying its not a good choice when it comes to fish quality. I will admit that looking at their wide selection (blocking out the dead fish) is pretty awesome

It's the only place I've seen NGT datnoid/ATF/Dorado for sale at lfs. If you want quality fish I would go with a mfk vendor. Good luck on your search

I already mentioned, Golden aquarium in 45th ave is rip off, he asked $275 for a 6" with half tail fin napped. I seeking for a reasonable price.
Can you guys give me the web site for that store? I wonder how much is the shipping.
