I bought my jardini two days ago and he is about 8'' Yesterday i fed him 3 small fish and since then he's been swimming at the bottom of the tank. today i put two super worms in and he is refusing to eat and just keeps swimming near the bottom. he is moving quickly and will occasionally swim higher in the tank but i am worried. any suggestions? thanks

i also have a common pleco in the tank and he seems to be following him a lot and will sometimes just sit next to him for a while

are temps and everythin right?
im no expert i just know what everyone is goin to ask so you might want to test you water and post results
good luck

^^ exactly right. Test all of your water parameters and post the results.

If all of that checks out we can explore other options.

Could it simply be overfeeding?

if params are fine he's probably scared or over fed. give him some time. Another option is to observe him from a distance to see if he's scared of you or sth. also be wary of his beathing. if you noticed heavy breathing or sth like that, you may be having some problems.

What is your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels?
how long has the tank been set up for?

Your Jardini might be stressed still, probably not adapted too your tank. Also how did you acclimate your Jardini into the tank?

i dont think there is anything to worry about..my jardini is about 3 weeks old now and its still scared of me and not adapted properly..some fishes take longer than the others..my silver aros adapted very quickly...just give your fish some time...
