Keep it in there for all of us to learn, ... Jokes aside beef him up a little bit, give him a fighting chance, $10 is better than a dead fish. Nice picture btw.
Depends on the personality of your silvers. Mine are super friendly @ 20", I had 3 5" peacock bass in with them for 3 weeks and nothing happened. I finally got my 240 set up and moved the aros into there.
i think you should just keep a close eye on them, or if you are really worried just put a divider in the tank... some plant cover at the surface may even help... but i have 2 large silver aro's and i actually had danio's and silver dollars in with them for a while, untill i introduced my mono's to the tank... now only the sd's are left.... but point being, danios are about the size of comets and they survived peacefully in the tank for months with my aros
so my arowanas, i realized, are extremely gentle.
my peacock bass on the other hand, are mean fkers...
Thank god i woke up early this morning to look into the tank.... otherwise i dont think he would have made it... but here is the jardini... beaten half to death!
He swims perfectly fine, but i almost cried when i saw how f'ed up got... i really hope he can make it through it... what do you guys think?
bummer. I personally would dose the tank with melafix and pimafix for the recommended week and then salt up the tank. reason being is because the aro has exposed flesh. GOOD LUCK!
