Well my Jardini's tail is getting worse. I have been treating the tank for over a week with Paraguard. Really isn't doing anything. He hasn't eaten in about 5 days. Not sure what to think. In the past I have had this happen and gone through rounds of meds with nothing working, then all of a sudden it turns around. If there is any other medication or advice I would appreciate it. It's getting very frustrating at this point. I posted this thread on disease section but didn't get any help so I thought I would try here. Water quality has been good Ammonia and Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5. 60-70%water changes weekly. Thank you.

Did you take the tiger barbs out or separate the arowana from them?

What tiger barbs? OP never mentioned anything about tiger barbs
I do have the tiger barbs in there with him. There are 6, I didn't remove them because I had this exact situation twice before they were in the tank. So I just don't feel like they are picking on him. Maybe I am wrong but , his tail got really bad before I got the tiger barbs and healed after they were added to the tank.

Interesting.
Can you post a full tank shot of the 130.
What filtration and aeration.
No carbon included I assume.
Does look like fin rot but just isolated to tail and repetitive after healing is an issue (hence the full tank shot for stress factors)
What is the ph and temp of the tank and also ph of the water change water.
Where are you getting his night crawlers from?

Yah I don’t think tiger barbs can harm the arowana’s tail so much, they are only aggressive towards other community fish not such a big sized predator. Looks like fin rot

This is a photo from back in April of 2019. He just all of a sudden started healing. Could it be diet related? All the times this happens his appetite drops, stops eating and tail gets bad. Currently he was eating nightcrawlers.

Could be from stress. Not eating won’t help. Fishman Dave Fishman Dave has brought up some good questions that need answering.
