The temperature is generally warm, 30 degrees normally but in winter it can drop 15 degrees so we have heaters. Would it work?

If you have heaters and don't mint the electric bill, sure but in the summer it would be a bit on the hot side, especially if the sun hit it.

Do you own a house in Hong Kong? That's pretty amazing in itself :)

Is there any chance you could build a largish pond? They would hold their temp a bit easier over a range of temperatures. Cooler in summer, yet warmer in winter.

Sunlight and silicone aren't a good mix usually. If you're having the tank outdoors you would want it enclosed and well insulated, both against the cold and the heat. I think a glass box out in the sun would cook your fish in the summer time! A DIY ply/fibreglass tank with a window in the front would work well, otherwise just build an insulated cabinet around a standard glass tank.

As for the size, 6x2x2' would be the bare minimum, any smaller and you're wasting your effort IMO. 6x2.5x2' would be better, and 8x2.5'x2' better again.

I just got an idea of how small an 180 gallon would be and I know why it's the bare minimum guys. Sorry for misunderstanding, I now know that it is physically impossible to have a jardini in a 75 gallon tank for the long term. I'll try to get a 6 foot by 2 foot when it grows big. Aren't arowana warm water fish? Isn't that the reason they are kept in sunlight? Our temperatures here are perfect. Usually 30 degrees in summer but can reach 32. In our house, it's a bit colder at 29 degrees but we have a heater incase of winter, this is winter. In winter like I said, it reaches 14 degrees.

I might try. Encasing the tank is a bit unpractical, but that's the point of fish keeping in my place. I am upgrading when the fish is big! I had to fix the cabinet because there was an extra hole drilled one time....haha!
