Been nursing this guy back to health, took him from some pretty bad conditions. Feeding on whole shrimp and starting to chew pellets now won’t be long till he’s converted. Starting to build some size now was being fed on steak and mice before I acquired him.

Did you find out why the previous owner fed it mice and steak? I’m able to understand the wanting to feed it mice because it’s “cool” but steak I can not understand.

The guy I purchased from was told by the owner before him he raised it on mice and he didn’t want to feed it mice so the only thing he could get it to eat was strip steak. When I tested the water he came from the ammonia was about 4ppm more the reason it wouldn’t eat I’d say.
