Hi I have an 8" Jardini. I have had him for about a month and a half. Recently after feeding I noticed this protrusion above his right eye. It went away a few hours later and then came back. I feed him night crawlers. He is active and acts normal. Thanks for the advice . I have attached a few pictures.

Due to the circular way that they adopt in the tanks, the eye pointing the outside of the tank will be pointing down with the time. There is an operation to remove the tissue that push the eye down.

Jars very rarely ever get drop eye. I would say it's likely an injury or slight pop eye.

I noticed it first when he ate a large earthworm. It almost looked like he dislocated it. It gets better from time to time. But it hasn't gotten any worse.

If it were drop eye which it's not it would not get better. Treat for pop eye.

All those saying drop eye, find me an image of a jar with drop eye, not any images and I've read of one claimed case. Jars don't get drop eye hardly ever if at all.
Only Asian and sa aros get it. Nearly all silvers 99.9% get it. A percentage of Asians and 2% of blacks.
