My 16 inch jar is living with 2 4 inch clown loaches, a 5 inch flower horn, 2 6 inch wild caught regular plecos, and 2 4 inch tiger plecos. No problems here for many many months. Evidentally I found out that clown loaches secrete a nasty smelling slim on their body when attacked and that's why my aro hasn't come close to them since he tried to attack them once. He learned his lesson lol. The first time he attacked, it was clear through his wiggling his head left and right that attacking the loaches was a huge mistake. Now he along with the two loaches swim together O.O

Don't let the clown loaches smell lull you in to a false sense of security. I know of a certain red arowana that regular feasts on clown loaches.
