Guys,
Is there no chance of my Jardini getting along with anyone unless they are twice his size? please give advice

how big is he? you'l have best luck with catfish, plecs and bottom dwelling fish. If he is still under 12" try stocking the tank with what ever you want and can afford to lose if it goes tits up....

He is about 7in. The problem is I have well over $1000 worth of fish in there, 2 Armatus babies, 1 Vittatus Tiger Fish Baby, 3 Electric Blue Jack Dempseys, 1 Alligator Gar....etc

I might place him in his own 20gallon until his hits 12in. I have 2 20s for medicals tanks and will just turn one into his for a while.

Thoughts?

um disatser waiting to happen from lots of years experiance.... and ur biggest worry is wel um, most of it...

the VAFT wiping around at the speed it does and with its piss poor growth rate is soon goin to attract the attention of either ur jar or the alligator gar. boom 1 fish down....
next the growth rate of the alli gar will cause the jar to be a tasty victim again hes habit of being visable fast moving is asking for it in gar eye's... 2 fish down...
then finally the armatus will become victim to the gars supirour growth rate and boom boom good nite,... u know how big the ebjd dont get i take it, sesh im not even willing to bet money but any of the others could potentially murder them in months.........

I dont mean to be harsh just blunt, im sure this has been put to u softly before but ur wont get it from me do something or loss ur fish, i suggest first step is move the gar, hmme arm, vaft be ok 2gether for a while... thats bout it....

I have alot of experience will everything except the Jardini, the gar is currently the smallest by far so for at least the next 3 months he will ok with the Armatus and Vittatus, the issue is the Jardini, I am getting a 300gallon tank soon which will house the Gar, Armatus and Vittatus, guessing the Jardini will go in the 75 gallon once this move takes place, until then he will remain in solitary in a 20.

gars dont care at any age about food or eating, they just get annoyed by fast moving fish shiny or highly colored fish mate and like them dead unless they have a serious size advantage. The gar can grow in a month or so what the vaft will do in year.... How big are the other fish?

I have a 6 inch jardini, with.
12 inch Indo tigers, 8 inch ITs, 9 inch frontosa, and 10 inch FRT.
The jardini Has shown no aggression, but I still think I am taking a risk. From all the research on this forum, after 8 inch my jar could turn and start attacking. I am willing to take this risk, as I have a spare tank for him in case. I have no desire to add any other arros to the tank. Just stick to 1 jar.
Right now though, I'm mine worried the tigers having a pop...

There is no doubt that between 7in to 12in the jardini is a monster, hence why I have a spare tank waiting for him when he strikes
