damn. your jar is stubborn.

i gave up on mine eating pellets a long time ago...good thing i have a feild full of hoppers
wich have 24 grams of protien per grasshopper and i feed them carrots for 3 days in advance before feeding and cycle that pattern....great for color and nutrients/free...
there are no pestcides in my area though....also feed him worms ...if you have good soil they are free aswell you can bait alot of them to the surface also with carrots preferably rotting ones they love em/also packed with protien(you can squeeze the poo out of the back end aswell to keep them more healthy
have you tried beef heart/talapia/prawns?

When it comes to fish, the looks of the food very seldomly plays part in weather they will eat it or not. - In tanks anyways..

What u should try 2 do is makin the pellets smell/taste like ur jars favorite food. Mine loves shrimp, so what i would do is to take a glas with very little water, squeeze the shrips juice in 2 the glas and then trow the shrips in. Then trow in some pellets.

This will make the pellets absorbe the shrimp juice/smell/taste and it might work on ur jar. It's worth a try :) I've done this with allots of fish and it has worked 9/10 times

BTW, once u put some pellets in the glas, put it in the frigde for 2-3 hours before u try feeding ur jar with it

Thanks for the replies

yes they can really go without food for a very long time. I trained my latest com on pellet like for 1 week and they are accepting pellet readily. basically, I give them no other option except the pellet they should take. Eventually they will give in. Imagine they are eating hikari goldfish floating pellet now.:D
