how big do they get,125 ok?

It will be fine for a while, but not for life as they grow to over 2' in aquaria. A 180 (6x2x2) is a better starting point.

What are the dimensions of the 125 that you're thinking about?

No aro can live in a foot print of 6x18 for life. There are many other options for fish, but not aros.

you can keep the jardini in there for a while. how big is your fish now? big is always better, but you have to draw the line at some poiint. i have seen jardini kept in 75 gallons for their whole lofe. they just dont get as big, as if you got a bigger tank. a 125 will be good for a WHILE. its going to grow really slow after 12 inchs. seriously how many people out there house a arrowana in a tank bigger then 75. not too many i tell yah.

Please don't go by the advise give in this post,

You cannot house a jar for life in a 75g they will continue to grow.

If you have to draw the line somewhere, look to getting other fish. You will need to provide at least a 6' x 2' x 2' once it is at the 20" mark and should eventually go bigger.

Nobody in there right mind houses an aro in a 75gallon tank, unless the aro is under a foot and a larger tank is becoming available.
