that's what i was wondering too?..... is there such thing as an golden australian arowana, because i seen it before on line for bids but it looks just like a regular jardini.
There are always variations in appearance within the same species. They are just selling a very nice specimen of the jardini. Just like people, you get good looking ones, and ones that aren't so good looking
Lighting plays a big part on Jardinis from my experience.
I had mine Under straight 10k lighting, straight 6700k lighting, Color max bulbs, and Mixed. I find the best to be 2 color max and 2 6700k
well for the jardini the color vary on the tank because when i had mine it was spotted red with dark colors and their is another jardini that is called the red spotted arowana it looks almost the same but the head is different the mouth goes more down than the jardini.
