most veterans dont like war movies because they never actually portray what really happened its either over exaggerated or under.

i think the best war movies are band of brothers and the lost battalion
I agree.I was in the PERSIAN GULF twice. And I was in the first DESSERT STORM in the late eighties early nineties. :D

I didnt like it. No one i know likes it very much. IMO waste of money to see. I saw people actually walk out of the theater. Its pretty much marines just sittin around for a couple hours dropin F bombs and seeing loved ones cheat on them. NO action. Funny at times though for sure. I realise thats probably what it was like, but it made for a kinda boring movie IMO.

i agree 100% man

IT WAS ONLY A FOUR DAY WAR. AND MUCH OF THE FIGHTING WAS AT NIGHT, SO IT WOULDNT MAKE FOR GOOD MOVIE ACTION. oops, sry 'bout all caps.

so much for seein it. we got there and circled the parking lot for 20 minutes and couldnt get a spot, so were goin early in the mornin. leave a 3:00 am to see the 8:00 am showing..lol

I think (at least hope) they exaggerated how everyone was being cheated on...

Especially the "Deer Hunter" part... what sick b!tch would send that to someone goin to war? People who have seen it know what im talkin about ;) , thats the only part i saw people walk out. The theater i saw it at actually didnt have very many people, in jar head at least. I was surprised.
