oh man, good luck in finding a great home for it. Seriously if you can't find anyone contact me on shipping, I think he could live comfortably in the 2100 gal heated pond I am setting up. lol, no pressure though I just get pimlodid envy of anyone who has a pim species I don't hehe. but seriously! I really need one lol. Good rescue, the world needs more concerned people like you. If you decide to keep him pm me, and I will give you some good info.
The jau is fine in my pond lol. His name is Ryan. He's grown from 12" to 17", and is a beast. Check catfish bonanza thread of mine for tons of pics of him.
