my java moss is either turning brown or it got bunch brown hair/moss like algae growing on them.

i have 60W of light right on top of it. other plants in the tank are doing great....

also have some in 10g with some light that comes with the tank (probable around 20W the most) and they are doing great.

whats wrong?

Have you tried "fluffing" it to get out debris? Got a pic? Is it right under the light? This is a very low ligt plant so too much light isn't a necessarily good thing IME.

yea it's directly under then light..maybe that's why. I need to get it out of the way then.
will do that when I move my to a larger tank (hopefully) this weekend.

some kind of plant light...can't remember. 6700K, two 30W strips

i would try a couple floaters over the moss see if that helps any. plus make sure its getting some flow over it.

you mean some current flow over the java moss?
