java moss

somebody gave me three thing of java moss . i was wondering how do i grow java moss. DO i plant in the sand or a pot . Any suggestions .

Java fern is very hardy, and can be planted on wood, rocks, the substrate or just left to float. Any of those will work fine for it. It will grow well under just about any lighting.

i was asking about java moss not java fern

I think it will only grow on wood or porous rock ,like lava rock if you can get it. Quite tricky to attach , if to much pressure on it ,it will break easily.
