I keep trying to get in to some chat rooms, no not dating sites lol, but I keep getting errors with Java I guess, any ideas?

Firefox,,,,,,,,,,,,and VF, it finaly worked though last several times I tried to update java it tells me"if you use firefox you may have to do these steps" and it never works, I wont see the things on my screen it says to click.
