when introduced to a new tank, will they isolate them self from everybody for a long period of time. cuz i recently been given a JD from a co worker and he said he was fine in his tank but since i have had him, hes been hiding alot and sometimes been motionless at the bottom corner of the tank. is this normal? he is around 3-4".i research abit and i read that they are very active fish. just thought if anybody else had that problem.

pics will come up as soon as my camera works, and when he gets out.
thanks

Basically he's p---ed off, and just wants to chill out away from everyone. Like when a child doesn't get their way. Pouting.

Most new pets do that. My chinchilla was uber nasty when we first got her.

You have a chinchilla and a gecko? Awesome. We have the same collection! LOL

I bought a JD that was 12", but my Oscar kept it in the corner for a week, so I got rid of it.
