JD Digging holes and not eating

My JD has recently started digging these massive holes as seen above and since then he has also stopped eating. Any correlation?

It's his tank. Alot of fish love to move stuff around lol. How long since he ate? Usually you wait them out and they'll eat again. No white stringy poo?

He looks pretty normal to me. Hasn’t eaten in about a little over a week.

A lot of cichlids like to dig holes and create an atmosphere that they like. Try remoting a few decorations. I don’t know about the fish not eating.

He may be eating from the substrate at night. As far as digging, my flowerhorn would be in china right now if it wasn't for the tank. He does it to spite me!

Don’t think so I feed mainly floating pellets and he was always the first one to the top of the tank eating away so for him to suddenly stop eating has me worried

I’ve tried dropping sinking pellets right in front of him but he watches them go by and makes that sucking up movement with his mouth like the food is repulsive or somethin

Alright somethings wrong he just spit out a brine shrimp cube. He LOVED them before
