For a tank that big have a few fish not just two or three. With several fish in the tank then the pressure gets lifted from just one or two fish getting beat to death. Give it a variety of fish to chase that way it doesn't run one into the ground. They'll stand a better chance that way.

Will a dovii or maybe 2 be ok with clown knives?

In depends on how big the tank is. Also how large is the dovii? How large are the knives. In most cases I would say no the dovii would tear the knives up.

i think a mob of clown loaches would be nice in that tank

JD's and Oscar's would be toast, as would most other cichlids. As someone stated, much better chance in numbers (spread out the aggresion). But they'd have to be of the tough variety (i.e. Midas, Trimac, etc.)

Arent Clown Knives peacful fish? I would think they would get shredded if added with a Dovii.
Same with Clown loaches. Those things would be like little bite size snacks.
(unless you meant clown loaches with no Dovii)
