I know, he's a fat head allright. I cant control how much he eats. I have to feed my O and JD and since they are big and slow, this little guy bolts in front of them and takes their food.
I've seen him CRAM like 10 medium sized pellets in his mouth at once, he could barely breathe.
He is already chasing around my 8" Tinfoil Barbs.
Males seem to have a lot more dark markings and that blue sheen on their dorsal area, along with elongated dorsal and anal fins.
both fish look awesome.the dempsey will look even better once that dorsal heals up, which shouldn't take too long.
Thats the wierd part. It was like that when i got him. That was about 6 months ago.
It never grew back.
