JD sexing and tankmates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got her yesterday, the male JD does not chase her but he is always next to her. He once in a while bites her on her side...gently for a bite anyways. She has some little cuts here and there. He's not aggressive at all but I don't want her to get too beat up. Is this just a passing stage?? The dorsal fin was already like that when I got her. As always your opinions are much appreciated.

She'll turn very dark when they get in the mood and you'll see her tube drop. He'll probably start shimmying in front of her every now and then.

Give em time ... they just met :)

do you have a flat rock or such for her to nest on? If they going to do the nastie she needs a flat rock or will dig a hole in the sub straight looking for one. they appear in picks to be getting along fine, keep an eye on them as already suggested, If they mate up, get ready for them to spawn every 3 weeks or so, none stop.

I got rid of my mated pair. i was just tired of the none stop fry, eggs or wigglers. all the male did was eat sleep and piss on eggs.
