hey guys


this is my JD male...


i am thinking of breeding him to a dovii, my friend has a female dovii that he will swap for one of my fish, so i am thinking of breeding the two

could i end up with some really nice fish from this?

has anyone seen this mix before?

how would i go about pairing them up?

Agreed, just because you want to hybridize doesn't mean you intend to make money. I have seen this before, will try to find pics. Best you could do to try to get them to pair is give them their own tank and condition the female.

definatly considering it, as the blue finage from the dovii, and the pearl from the jd, plus dovii pattern is beautifuL!

so at what size will dovii female breed? i can get hold of an 8cm one, but thats about it.

I didn't mean worthless in just money, i meant in overall value, you will be stuck with the offspring as there isn't a huge market out there for a random hybrid that is not as attractive as either parent.
