yeah, they definetly bully smaller fish, it's better to keep them with larger ones.

what the heck is BGJD? just the usual JD or what? I know EBJD is electric Blue, and I have a regular JD. What's the "GB" part???

Blue Gene Jack Dempsey... meaning physically, they look like a regular jack dempsey, but genetically they carry the Electric Blue phenotype... its just recessive.

You definitley have to be wary buying BGJD off the internet... anyone can just buy regulars and sell them as BGJD b/c they look the same.

I'm kinda paranoid about fraud myself. I trust my LFS and I've asked them if they could talk to whomever they get their EBJDs from about getting me a BGJD. Still kind of iffy though.
 
that's a pretty good idea! even if you do find a person that has them they still might not want to give them to u unless you bribe them! because some people want others to go through the whole process! or dont want them mixed roun with regular jd's!
