jebao canister

I bought a jebao 404 canister filter. been running it and pretty happy with it for the price. does anybody know how to disconnect the in/ out hoses. there is a button on each hose that releases the hose but I can't stop the water from flowing out. yes, I did unplug it. I also turned the flow valve all the way down, but water keeps coming out. you would think that just disconnecting it would cut off the water. instructions were in Chinese and I trashed it.

The valves look like the ones on my cfs canister....you have to turn them to close before disconnecting them. With the valves closed idk how water could flow out unless they are faulty.

I have been running there large model for little over 3 years, no issues, the quick connects have shutoffs, think what you are taking for flow regulators. mine have always worked great when cleaning the canister. shut em off and disconnect, like any caster will be a little water but a towel handles that.
