My Jebao submersible pump display shows decreased wattage on the display after plugging it in again - it’s only 3 months old. I attached a picture for reference.

The display had been dropping by a watt here and there, but I did my water change today and it dropped 60 watts on the display which I assume means it’s working at less than 2/3 of the rated 5283 gph.

Is there anything I can do to boost it back up or does the pump just stink?

Thanks for your help and input.

This is an adjustable speed pump. Maybe you accidentally programmed it at a lower RPM during cleaning.

Tried changing the speed up and down after and I don’t get a response - it’s possible the adjuster is not working.

Can you tell if it’s actually flowing differently. If it were reduced that much, it would make a very noticeable difference in the flow in the tank.

It is hooked to an ultima and the pressure reading in the ultima is down to about 4 psi - it was at least 5 before this.

That’s odd. Have you tried restarting the pump? Basically, just unplugging it, let it sit for a minute, then plug it back in?
I unplugged it after it did this but didn’t wait a minute - gave it 20 to 30 seconds no change.

Actually the controller for reducing / increasing flow doesnt seem to be responding...

I appreciate the responses. Thx

I was gonna say that a gunked up impeller might cause some drag, but sounds like you have a controller issue.

Could it be a power supply issue ?

Well I played with it - turning it off and on - pushing the feed button which is the only button that has a partial response and I have near full wattage again.

I have no idea why or what happens. Again, I appreciate the input. Possibly a controller issue like monkey bike suggested?
