Ive done tons of research but want some real world experiences from here, how many of you drive them a good distance on a regular basis?

MPG are about the same as a full size pickup. I'm getting around 15 if I'm lucky. Wranglers are known for poor mileage and rough ride. With the short wheelbase every, I mean EVERY bump is felt. Other than that I love it. Goes anywhere.

I have a four banger YJ with 33" tires and six inches total of lift. Its my DD but I NEVER drive on the interstate and rarely get over over fifty five. It can only break sixty five with a good tail wind. With my kayaks on top its a challenge to get to 55. I still pull my 17ft deep vee center console with it though.

I manage around sixteen MPGs usually but if Im not towing my boat or have my kayaks on top, which I do usually every other day, I can get up to eighteen MPG.

The ride is ROUGH. I live in FL so luckily we dont have too many potholes compared to states that use snow plows. If you are looking for a comfortable DD a Jeep is NOT it. If you are looking for a fun, convertible SUV that you can take the doors off and head off road then the Jeep is for you if you dont mind spending more at the pump and making more appointments to see your chiro.

Overrall poor mileage and rough riding other than that a very good strong veichile. Get a full size ram pickup if you are looking for a smooth ride. Neither will be that good on gas.

i have a 2008 with a 3.8 6 speed i get anywhere from 20 to 25 if i drive smart =]. seems like the newer ones are much less rough riding... unless im going down a old back road with craters in the road... other than that its a pretty smooth ride.. i drive a total of 30 to 60 miles perday, i average about 350 miles to a tank
