Ok so I have been saying I wanted a jellyfish tank for about 6 months now. However I've never actually seen it done. I have seen fake tanks that look like jellies are in it but never any actual tanks. Well i got bored and did some research. Apparently it can be done. Has ayone done a Jelly tank or have info? I'd like to keep a small tank (10-30gal) that would be a dedicated jelly tank...

What is a good species? Tank requirements?

I found 2 websites Jellyfishart and Jelliquarium. Apparently Jelliquarium has been up for a while and ha stank raised jellyfish. However their tank is specific for jellies a "unique patent pending faceted tank design provides specialized laminar water flow needed to maintain gelatinous zooplankton in suspension"

However jellyfishart has an 8gal tank that doesn't seem to be special in any way...

The jelliquariums are like $3000+ (ouch) while i can get the 8gal system from jellyfishart for 250ish...

I wonder if I NEED a special tank? The moon jellies are rather inexpensive

The aquarium from jellfishart is rather overpriced considering what you get: poor filtration and a small space. Actually, it looks like an over-priced biUbe!

I watched a video on it before, and they expect the little glass pebbles in the bottom to harbor enough BB to keep up with the bioload. :screwy:
