true. he'll not be kept in the general population like he kept defenseless children with him.
but neither was j_dahmer, and one day he was 'accidentally' left unsupervised with other inmates...

Let's not go there...again...You need to learn the way a school works. Coaches are not at the top of the chain...they don't have the power to fire people

at major d1football factories the head coach is the power,thats why they get paid 7figure salaries -please dont correct people when you yourself dont have a clue, and penn st. said recently that is why paterno was fired ... paterno HIRED sandusky and named him heir apparent in the late 90,s so he obviously had the power to fire the assistant coach he hired
 
Here's some stuff I found in just 1 or 2 seconds of looking. Read the underlined parts.

Paterno did just that. Even after a 30-year friendship and working relationship with Sandusky, Joe Paterno swallowed his pride and did the right thing. He reported the graduate assistant's findings to the school's administration. University responsibility fulfilled. The case progressed and when called to testify, Joe Paterno said the same thing he had said to the school's administration. He told them that a graduate student had seen Sandusky "horsing around" in a locker room shower. Legal responsibility fulfilled.

The graduate student who reported what he saw to the coaching staff called the actions "horsing around." It wasn't until a few days ago(2011), when other allegations were brought against Sandusky, that the 2002 "horsing around" allegations are being referred to as "sexually deviant acts." If the graduate assistant told Paterno that "sexually deviant acts" were occurring in the locker room at PSU, Paterno would have turned the organization upside down until the culprits were found. Instead, Paterno was told of Sandusky and a boy "horsing around" in the locker room (still a bit weird considering his book title, but not a sexually deviant act) and he reported this to his boss. He later conveyed the same information to a jury while under oath.

I bet whoever's watch it was or whoever allowed that to happen lost their job as a result.I'd like to make a lot of the people who enter our gates pay dearly for what they have done but not enough to be fired over it.

The presentment states that on March 1, 2002, at 9:30 PM, McQueary entered the locker room at the Lasch Football Building at Penn State and heard what he believed to be the sounds of sexual activity coming from the shower. He looked in the shower and "saw a naked boy, Victim 2, whose age he estimated to be ten years, with his hands up against the wall, being subjected to anal intercourse by a naked Sandusky."[19][20] Further investigation revealed that the correct date of the incident was actually February 9, 2001.[21] The next day, McQueary reported the incident to Joe Paterno, who informed Athletic Director Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, senior vice president for finance and business, who oversaw the Penn State police department at the time. Ultimately, the only action taken by Curley and Schultz was to order Sandusky not to bring any children from Second Mile to the football building

How can you fire someone who is NOT working for you? Sandusky worked for Paterno from 1969 to 1999, yet it was in 2001 when McQueary....McQueary not Paterno saw the assault happening. Note: Paterno told the Athletic director who is above him.

I don't see a problem here with Paterno. Some of you people just want to make stuff up
