Jessica Simpson's dog snatched by coyote

There are so many bad things that can happen to dogs when their owners don't keep them in an enclosure or on a leash. I'll bet she doesn't make that mistake again. Don't get me wrong I feel really bad for her, I'm sure that has to be an awful thing to see! I just wish it wouldn't take a tragedy for people to learn to keep their dogs on a leash. Just because they don't run away doesn't mean that something else bad can't happen to them.
 
yes, thats sooo true - like our dog listens all the time. but as soon as she sees another dog, its like we don't exist. now she's always on a leash when we take her out but if we're in a field and no other dogs around then she gets let off it

I'm an avid gun owner myself but do you think you could get your firearm and shoot the coyote, without hitting your animal that is in the coyotes mouth, before it was gone? I think not. I know you will say "of course I can" but it is not going to happen. Even with a pistol on you, the chances of hitting a wild animal running away from you with a handgun are nil.

chances of hitting a running animal with a handgun is pretty easy . ive shot many a hog and deer with a pistol on the run .ive also shot coyotes moving at 300 yrds but i bet u think that is impossable to . any southren born person is most likely a "redneck idiotic gun nut"as u say and what is wrong with that any how?
 
I really do like my little runt now that I have her, I'd hate to see her get snatched away. I just wouldn't choose a small dog.
